Build/Release Engineer

Location
Full-time in San Francisco, CA
As a member of the Engineering Services team, the Release Engineer is responsible for writing and maintaining all build and deployment scripts. You are a key member of SendMe's technology team and will be expected to produce solutions in a practical and timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write and maintain all build and deployment scripts responsible for all components within our architecture/service offering
- Automate the build, packaging, and deployment process for all environments (development, QA, stage, and production)
- Develop and maintain documentation describing all aspects of our build and deployment processes to all applicable environments
- Perform build verification tests on all applicable builds
- Maintenance of the development sandbox and QA environments
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a release/build engineer
- Proficient with shell scripting, perl, ant, and maven
- Proven experience with deployment automation
- Comfortable with Unix based environments
- Understanding of source code repository systems (CVS and Subversion specifically)
- Experience with configuring and maintaining
- Apache web servers (starting, stopping, httpd.conf)
- JBoss application servers
- Caucho Resin or Tomcat servlet containers
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
