Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager that will be primarily responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of tools and test frameworks initially along with being tasked to recruit and build a QA team. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to over communicate, design test suites, design test plans, execute test suites and plans, and recruit a top notch team that will deliver in an environment with constantly changing priorities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools and test suites used for automation testing
- Develop manual test cases for front end and core infrastructure testing
- Interact with business product managers to gather and maintain project requirements, establish release schedules, processes, and criteria
- Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices
- Own your own projects - pursuing a combination of things that need to be done and things you want to do.
- Proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done well.
- Highly flexible attitude and ability to shift gears at a moment's notice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant quality assurance experience
- Practical experience with Linux based development, distributed architecture environments, and high volume service oriented architectures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Bugzilla)
- Experience with Linux, Apache, Servlets, SOAP
- Experience with HTMLUnit, Junit, Ant, LoadRunner, Silk, QTP
- Experience with an RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
- Comfortable working with small teams of developers and business teams on tight deadlines.
- Highly flexible and extremely efficient, don't mind multiple iterations on the way to the right answers.
