Software Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer that will be primarily responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of tools and test frameworks used in automating testing of SendMe’s web application and message gateway infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop custom automation tools in a time-to-market sensitive environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools and test suites used for automation testing
- Interact with business product managers to gather and maintain project requirements
- Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices
- Willingness and ability to take independent responsibility for his or her own deliverables without requiring extensive project management oversight.
- Proactive attitude and a willingness to “go the extra mile” to get the job done well.
- Highly flexible attitude and ability to shift gears at a moment's notice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
- 3+ years of relevant software engineering and/or quality assurance experience
- Practical experience with Linux based development, distributed architecture environments, and high volume service oriented architectures
- Demonstrated ability to own and lead design and development efforts
- Languages: Java, Perl (w/mod_perl), SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Linux, Apache, Servlets, SOAP
- Experience with HTMLUnit, Junit, Ant, LoadRunner, Silk
- Experience with an RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
