SendMe Inc, the fastest growing direct to consumer mobile start-up in the US, is looking for an experienced web developer to play a key role in supporting UI enhancements and marketing efforts for our ever-expanding portfolio of products.
Web developers will work as part of a tightly knit product management and engineering team to develop innovative social networking features that bridge the world of online and mobile handsets. You will play a key role in on-going product development, including spearheading the translation of design requirements into living, breathing prototypes and controlling all facets of sophisticated front-end development.
You will play a key role in on-going marketing & product support, including spearheading the translation of design requirements into living, breathing prototypes and weekly releases. Candidates should be technically savvy with experience in client-side web development and should be prepared to take a technical and functional leadership role in a fast-paced environment. Requirements:
- 3+ years of consumer-focused web development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in CSS / HTML / DHTML / JavaScript and AJAX-based applications
- Experience in technical production: creation of HTML pages from Photoshop mockups and visual wireframes, working closely with design / product teams
- Familiarity with modern MVC frameworks (e.g. Struts, Spring), object-oriented programming, and database applications
- Proven ability to code to web standards, including usability and accessibility (Section 508) standards
- Passion for User Experience, Mobile applications, and Open Source technology is a must
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger engineering team
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
