Soulja Boy hit it big in 2007 when his single "Crank That" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He started out recording in a Mississippi studio and posting songs on MySpace and YouTube. In March of 2007, he released an independent album called "Unsigned and Still Major" that included his hit song. Following the release of his album, Soulja Boy put together a low budget video demonstrating the "Soulja Boy Dance". By the end of May 2007, Soulja Boy had inked a deal with Interscope Records. His upbeat, party-themed music is already one of the most digitally downloaded tracks ever.
