C-Murder Biography
C-Murder first came to the attention of the rap world for bringing regional Southern rap to national prominence. In 1997, his New Orleans-based trio TRU, along with brothers Silkk the Shocker and No Limit label impresario Master P, scored a hit with "True 2 Da Game," the group's sophomore album which sold over two million units in its first year. Following Master P's steps closely, C-Murder acted in No Limit's straight-to-video release "I'm Bout It,"as well as the comedy "I Got the Hookup." His 2000 release "Trapped in Crime" continued the upward trajectory for this gravel-voiced MC.
