(KALICO)- Born in the woods (Ambrose, Ga) spent my early days around older wiser people. This made me wise and some what cold, because they all pasted away before I was ten or somewhere in there. Then I was introduced to town living (Douglas, Ga) I seen it all, I mean all, way too early. My mom stayed moving constantly so I was familiar with every part of town. When you see everything it gives you understanding of people, because of their surroundings. As far as music I couldn't cope without it. When I was young all I heard was soul music (thanks to pops). In the country I would listen to the radio and make my own mixtapes from it. My brother Duke would bring all kinds of music home from his friends and in like one day I would learn all the songs because he might have to return them. Listening to the soul music kind of gave me an ear for singing, so I can blow a lil bit, and learning my brother's music showed me that I can do what they do. After a lot of bullsh*t music being released I was basically forced to do something. If I can't listen to they sh*t I can listen to my own. So therefore I write all types of music and rap my own! -----(CANDYMAN)- Born in Crooked Coffee I grew up learning from the streets and also from old wise people. I had to learn how stand up for myself at an early age being the only child and all. Fighten' my own battles made me like I am today, the kind of person that don't take sh*t from no one. Listening to Marvin Gaye, BB King, Luther Vandross, James Brown, Tupac,TI,Bone Thugs N Harmony,and etc. got me to love music and get a good understanding of it. I base my freestyle rapping on all that I have learned growing up. My music gives me a chance to express my life. MyFolk was formed for a reason, we both been rappin for many years. We both knew each other had the skills and wisdom so we combined it and became a force in our music that cant be compared to any one in the rap
